About our editor
Peter Jordan is a Sydney writer and editor. He has worked for SBS and ABC radio in news and current affairs, and produced documentaries for ABC Radio National. He has written on jazz for a variety of publications, including The Sydney Morning Herald and Rolling Stone, and held editorial positions at Fairfax Digital and Hutchison Telecoms. He was founding vice-president of the Sydney Improvised Music Association (SIMA).

History of Jazz Australia
The National Jazz Website Project, Jazz Australia - jazz.org.au was launched at the Wangaratta Jazz Festival on 1st November 2004.
The site was commissioned by the Australia Council as part of the National Jazz Initiative, and is designed to act as a national resource, bringing together jazz organisations, institutions, musicians and enthusiasts from across the country.
The website structure is interactive--enabling individuals, groups and organisations to contribute directly to the site, assisting the promotion and dissemination of jazz information regionally, nationally and internationally.
The site content is provided by individuals and key individuals and organisations in the Australian jazz community.
The Jazz Australia site is managed by a small team of Site Manager and National Editor.
Content is provided by individuals and organisations all over the country, including state Content Managers who are generally affiliated with key jazz organisations in each Australian State and Territory.
